PNY Technologies introduced the microSD with adapter, the smallest flash memory card in its product line up, designed for use with mobile phones and other devices that require the ultra-small form factor. The microSD will be available in 128 MB (black), 256 MB (red) and 512 MB (green) storage capacities from specialty camera retailers and e-tailers, the microSD flash card comes with a lifetime warranty.

Due to the growing demand for memory cards used by mobile phones, Kingston Technology has announced the introduction of microSD memory cards and larger storage capacity miniSD and MMCmobile memory cards. Those are the major memory cards that are used by mobile phones today.
Kingston’s new microSD memory card will be shipped with a 256 MB storage capacity and have a transfer speed of 8.8 MB/sec, read, and 6.5 MB/sec, write. It will also come bundled with a SD Memory Card adaptor and lifetime warranty. This is the first offering in the microSD product line and is expected that larger storage capacities will follow.
Anticipating the need for greater storage capacity for the new multifunction mobile phones, Kingston has announced 1 GB versions of both its existing MMCmobile and miniSD memory cards.
